Historical Note:

Livregementen to Foot is one of the regiments of the Swedish Armed Forces, specializing in infantry combat training.
The regiment has a history spanning over 450 years, having been established in 1543 by King Gustav Vasa, with its initial task being the protection of the royal family.

Over time, the regiment participated in numerous wars and conflicts, including the Thirty Years’ War (1618-1648), the Great Northern War (1700-1721), the Russo-Swedish War (1788-1790), and World War II (1939-1945).
In the latter half of the 20th century, the regiment took part in both domestic and international operations, including contributions to international coalitions in Afghanistan and Iraq. The regiment also provided security for the royal family and other state officials.

Today, the regiment is based in Halmstad, in western Sweden. It consists of three battalions and support units, carrying out tasks related to the protection of national sovereignty, ensuring national security, and participating in international peacekeeping operations.
