Blade is steel, straight, double-edged, with coarse etching on a naval theme, adorned with floral ornamentation, without any stamps.

Hilt consists of a handle and guard, the handle is wooden covered with celluloid, with grooves over which twisted brass wire is wrapped.

Scabbard is of the scale type, a rarer specimen than the lightning type, and thus was more expensive.
