Historical Background:
This antique Hitler Youth knife is a rare transitional piece that was used as part of the Hitler Youth organization of the NSDAP between 1933 and 1945. The knife was manufactured by Hartkopf Solingen, a company known for their high quality knives and other carving products.
This particular knife is a transitional pattern between the early Hitler Youth knives and the later variants that were produced at the beginning of World War II. The knife has two branding marks – one of which contains an image of a hand drawing and a scimitar.
The knife has a short length, making it easy to carry when performing various tasks.
This antique Hitler Youth knife is a fine example of military history as well as a valuable collector’s item. It may appeal to historians, collectors and anyone interested in the military history of the World War II period.
