Dear Collectors and guests of the site Antique Gallery, looking for a gift, in particular Antique weapons, your attention is offered:Antique Knife Hitlerjugend transitional sample with a double branding manufacturer Klittermann Haan & Moog Solingen.
Knife handle with black plastic cheeks and enamel emblem “Hitler Youth”. On both sides of the handle are bakelite linings in intense black with a fluted pattern. On the front side in the center of the emblem of the Hitler Youth organization (also GU-romb). The crossguard is cast non-porous, cast together with the hilt parts.
The blade is nickel-plated, branded with five RZM M7/29/41 (Klittermann Haan & Moog Solingen) and Klittermann Haan & Moog Solingen in the center of the blade.
The scabbard is made of decorated black steel. To hold the blade tightly inside, there are two springs attached to the inside of the knife. The carrying device consists of a loop consisting of a double-layered leather strap fastened to the knives with two rivets. The top of the pendant has a strap wrapped around the outside, attached with a rivet that closes with a button. The leather straps were black and brown.
This antique Hitlerjugend knife is a rare transitional piece used as part of the NSDAP youth organization Hitlerjugend between 1933 and 1945. The knife was manufactured by Klittermann Haan & Moog Solingen, a company known for their high quality knives and other carvers.
This particular knife is a transitional pattern between the early Hitler Youth knives and the later variants produced at the beginning of World War II. The knife has two branding marks – one of which contains an image of a hand and spear pattern.
