The officer’s dagger of the Polish Navy differed from the aviator’s dagger mainly in the metal components of the handle and scabbard, which were made of polished brass (aviator daggers had silver components).

On the tip, on the outer side, is the state emblem of that time.

On the upper corner of the scabbard’s outer side is a stylized Grunwald cross with an anchor. (The Grunwald cross is one of the highest orders of the Polish People’s Republic).

On the outer side of the hilt is the factory number 17465.

Construction: The blade is double-edged with an elongated hilt and a centered tip. The cross-section is diamond-shaped.

The guard resembles a horizontal Latin letter “S” at the front end with a ring, and at the back end, it has a “teardrop” shape. The hilt has an elliptical cross-section, and the lower part has a ring that expands towards the guard. The top ring is adorned with a narrow decorative band. The same ring is found at the lower part of the tip.

In cross-section, the tip also has an elliptical shape, with an eagle (without a crown) on the outer side. The tip is capped with a nut that secures the handle to the blade. The hilt is made of wood, with three fittings. The upper fitting features a miniature of the Grunwald Cross with an anchor.

The upper and central fittings have lugs with movable rings. The lower fitting is secured with a screw to the scabbard. The screw head is a flat button at the end of the scabbard.

The belt is made of black leather with brass metal components. The buckles are rectangular.
