Jan Cornelius Alexander Ciocrona, also known as Jan Ciocrona, was a Swedish military officer born on August 3, 1871, in Raus Soken, Sweden, and died on September 8, 1948, in Stockholm. He was the son of Colonel Aron Ciocrona and Martina Ciocrona. He began his military career as a volunteer in the Skåne Hussar Regiment in 1891 and advanced rapidly, becoming a lieutenant in 1897 and an army major in 1917. By 1921 he had reached the rank of colonel and was commander of the Småland Hussar Regiment. He was also a Knight of the Order of the Sword in 1914.

The Skan Hussar Regiment, to which Jan Ciocrona belonged, was one of the elite units of the Swedish army. The hussars of this regiment often used broadswords in combat and on parades, reflecting the importance of this weapon in the Swedish military tradition. The broadsword was a symbol of status and bravery, and its manufacture required great skill and attention to detail.

The broadsword has an overall length of 98 cm and a blade length of 86 cm, making it easy to use for both combat and parades. The decoration of the hilt and scabbard in gilt gives it a luxurious look that emphasizes the status of its owner. The gold finish also served to protect the metal from corrosion and added to the aesthetic appeal of the weapon.

It witnesses many historical events and represents the cultural heritage of its country. It is a proud possession for any collector, as it is not only a weapon, but also a work of art and a part of history.
